The Irish Connection

Posted on April 6, 2010 by Benson Shi

Ireland is a country close to the hearts of many Australian.

More than 1 million residents in Australia identified themselves with having Irish ancestry and there are more than 50, 000 Australians born in Ireland.

Our country’s connection with Ireland is always a strong one, and the same goes with our law firm.

Frank O’Donoghue, the husband of our principal lawyer Anne O’Donoghue, is the founder and the Inaugural Chairperson of the Irish Australian Welfare Bureau. Hailing from Tipperary, Ireland, Frank moved to Australia in 1958 and has always maintained his connection with Ireland and activities of the Irish Australian Welfare Bureau.

Anne, who is a member of  the Lansdowne Club herself has been refered to by the author Tim Pat Coogan in his book, ‘Wherever the Green is worn: The story of Irish Diaspora’.

With these connections, Immigration Solutions Lawyers have succesfully acted and helped many Irish clients and prominent business owners in Australia.

We are pleased to announce that Anne will be visiting Ireland in July this year with a plan to talk to Irish lawyers in the making.
