Anne O’Donoghue is an accredited immigration law specialist and registered migration agent, with over 26 years of experience. She is the director and principal lawyer of Immigration Solutions Lawyers (ISL). Anne is acknowledged as one of Australia’s leading immigration law specialists. WWL 2019 Ranking Thought Leader Corporate Immigration.
Anne was admitted to practise in Victoria in 1981, in the High Court in 1982 and in NSW in 1987.
In 1998, Anne received her Specialist Accreditation as an immigration lawyer from the NSW Law Society. In 2015, Anne was appointed as a member of the Specialist Accreditation Advisory Committee of the NSWLS.
In December 2012, Anne was appointed as a member of the LCA’s International Law Section (ILS) Executive. In December 2019, Anne was appointed as a Co-Chair of the LCA’s International Human Rights Committee. Anne has been invited to Chair a session on Modern Slavery at the Law Council Australia Migration Conference in Melbourne, March 2020. In 2020, Anne will be working with her colleagues on a Law Council submission in response to the Public Consultation Paper on the National Action Plan to Combat Modern Slavery 2020-2024.
On the 1st January 2019, Anne was appointed Co-Chair of the Immigration and Nationality Law Committee of the International Bar Association. Anne has been an IBA member since 2002.
In 2019 Anne was also appointed a member of the IBA’s Presidential Task Force on the Refugee Crisis Initiative, A Child Rights Response to Child Migration and Migrant Children at Risk. Anne was a Co-Moderator of the Showcase session which was presented at the 2019 IBA Conference in Seoul.
On the 24 October 2019, Anne achieved a high commendation for the NSW Law Society’s Presidents Medal for her work on the IBA Presidential Taskforce in Seoul.
Anne was also awarded the Lawyer’s Weekly Migration Partner of the Year Award in 2019.
Anne is also an experienced writer and co-authored the Australia Chapter of The Corporate Immigration Review, now in its 9th edition. Anne also makes valuable contributions to the Global Business Immigration Handbook, as well as the IBA’s Annual report for the Global Employment Institute.

Client Service Manager
Michael has extensive experience with customer service marketing, cyber security and he is currently studying Mandarin. In his present role he organises and provides client and social media support. Michael has worked in the capacity of an Administrator/Marketing Representative at Immigration Solutions lawyers (ISL) since July 2010 and December 2011 in a part-time position and then full time from 1 March,2013.
Michael has also represented ISL in a marketing capacity when Anne O’Donoghue attended the IBA Conference in Dublin in 2012 and Michael conducted interviews of immigration experts through the law society of Ireland for ISL’s media’s coverage of this event.
Michael also represented ISL at the following Conferences:
- Australia China Trade & Investment Seminar at the Sofitel Hotel Beijing on 25 June,2014.
- Law Council of Australia Immigration Law Conference on 14-15 Sydney in 2014
- IBA Annual Conference in Sydney in 2017.
At the IBA Conference in Sydney 2017 Michael was one of the hosts of the Cocktail event held by ISL and was highly involved in greeting international guests and supporting ISL during the conference.
Michael attends to clients needs and enjoys reading client comments and answering their questions on social media in person and over the phone. Michael has a great interest in international travel and diversity of cultures and enjoys Chinese Wing Chun.

Team Member, Corporate Stream
Palwasha Nawabi is a Paralegal assisting the Corporate Stream for Immigrations Solutions Lawyers.
She has strong research and problem-solving skills which she uses in complex legal submissions. She gains satisfaction by assisting clients with her ability to understanding the client’s perspective.
Palwasha is currently studying Bachelor of Laws and Commerce majoring in Human Resources at Macquarie University. She has been recognised by the University for her academic achievements.
In 2020, she co-authored Who’s Who Legal article, Australia’s Corporate Immigration Review 2020.
She gained exposure to a variety of different legal matters through her experience at Toongabbie Legal Centre, where she developed her interest in Immigration Law.
Palwasha enjoys assisting clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. She is proficient in five languages including English, Dari, Farsi, Urdu, and Hindi.

Lihini Konara is one of the Solicitors assisting the Family Stream and the Corporate, Review & Citizenship Stream for Immigration Solutions Lawyers.
Lihini graduated from University of Sydney in 2017 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Commercial Law). She was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW in March 2019 and currently hold a practising certificate in NSW.
Having found her passion in administrative law, she decided to work in immigration law. Lihini is well known for her detailed legal submissions to the Department of Home Affairs and Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
Lihini is passionate about helping people migrate and enjoys turning difficult cases around. She has met clients from all over the world and provides tailored advice to specific cases.

Team Member, Family Stream, Solicitor
Carmen Yew is one of the solicitors assisting the Family and Corporate, Review & Citizenships Streams for Immigration Solutions Lawyers.
Carmen graduated from University of Technology, Sydney in 2018 with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Bachelor of Laws.
Carmen’s role in the Family and Corporate, Review & Citizenship sections of ISL includes responsibilities such as preparation of primary visa applications, preparation of detailed submissions to the Department of Home Affairs, corresponding with and briefing competent professionals (psychologists), liaising with the Department of Home Affairs and researching relevant legislation, policy guidelines and case law to assist with matters.
Carmen has had a keen interest in Immigration Law since completing the subject through a Global Exchange program in the United Kingdom.

Tiara Dalpadado is one of the Solicitors assisting the Family Stream and the Corporate, Review and Citizenship Stream for Immigration Solutions Lawyers
Tiara joined the Sri Lankan bar as an Attorney at Law in early 2017. Upon taking her oath as a Lawyer, she then migrated to Australia with the aim of becoming a Solicitor in Australia. Having successfully completed her legal studies from the Queensland University of Technology in Australia, Tiara was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of QLD in August 2018. Tiara currently holds a practicing certificate in NSW.
Tiara has previous experience working as a Solicitor in a Family Law firm. Being a migrant herself, Tiara developed a passion for helping others with complex migration issues and was drawn to a career in Immigration Law.
Having also practiced as a lawyer in Sri Lanka, she brings deep understanding of different social and cultural backgrounds to her legal practice. Tiara speaks fluent English & Sinhalese.
Tiara is highly attentive and strives to provide the best possible service to her clients.
Review and Citizenship Team, Paralegal
Adelaide Falzon is a Paralegal of the Merits Review, Character, MIU & Citizenship Stream at Immigration Solutions Lawyers. Adelaide graduated from Macquarie University in 2020 with Bachelor of Laws (majoring in Public Policy, Law and Governance). She completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Professional Practice at UNSW in 2021 and was admitted as a solicitor by the NSW Supreme Court in June 2021. She is passionate about human rights-based migration policies and facilitating people in vulnerable circumstances access just outcomes.
Lillian Scarborough is a Paralegal in the Merits Review, Citizenship and Character stream at Immigration Solutions Lawyers. She was born overseas and has lived and travelled extensively throughout South East Asia and the Americas, which gives her an great appreciation for the travel and migration needs of people.
She studied a double degree of Law and International Relations at the University of Sydney, and graduated in December 2020. After graduation, she undertook a four-month internship at the Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS) which motivated her to pursue a career in Immigration Law. This also fostered a passion for helping people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Lillian has strong writing and communication skills. She is passionate about providing assistance to clients with complex legal needs.
