China is Australia’s largest market for international students. According to the Australian international education research, Australian places Chinese graduates on the labour market with employment advantages in China.

A study in Australia found in 495 Chinese graduates, 82% people have found jobs, and 93% from the recruited students are from Australia. Graduates of China’s overall unemployment rate are 22%.

The average starting salary in China for students is twice the local graduates. Employers think that there will face a talent shortage and hope to recruit more international students and they value most Australian graduates in China’s international outlook and the ability to communicate with customers.

Many Australian education institutions believe that Australia should pay greater attention in providing work experiences to attract more students from China.
